AGV Optmization


The purpose of this project is to determine the minimum number of AGVs needed to efficiently handle materials delivery and product loading based on the production and demand rates of workstations. The project will investigate the impact of buffer capacity on the required number of AGVs, and aim to optimize the number of AGVs used in the assembly line through a mathematical model. The objective is to ensure a seamless material handling process with no excess or deficit, keeping the production line running smoothly.

  • The goal is to determine the minimum number of AGVs necessary for efficient material handling in the assembly line, considering the demand and production rate.

  • The second purpose is to examine the impact of workstation buffer capacity on the minimum number of AGVs required for material handling in the assembly line.
